The Making of Our Store

Mike and I have been renovating 2053 Main Street — a much bigger project than we ever anticipated, and a long time in the making.

It all started with curated local gift boxes in Boston back in 2020 — a pandemic pivot that turned into a genuine passion for supporting small makers.

Brown Paper Packages is named after our favorite song from The Sound of Music — in essence, a collection of our favorite local, small-business things.
